European Straight Pool Champion. Runner-up Tokyo 9-Ball 2001.
Ranked No.2 in Europe and WPA No.1 in the world
Feijen has been one of European pool’s most consistent
performers on the global scene since the turn of the decade.
The Dutchman first came to international prominence with a sensational
win over Francisco Bustamante at the World Championship in 2000
and followed that up with a great year in 2001 when he reached
the last eight at the WPC.
Later that year he came second at
the world’s then richest
9-ball tournament in Tokyo, winning over $65,000 in the process.
His record at the US Open, that toughest of tests, is excellent,
having finished 9th, 3rd and 5th respectively over the past three
years.
Feijen has established himself as one of the very best
tournament players in the world in recent times and comes into
the Masters as World No.1 and European No.2. Despite never having
won one of pool’s majors, the Dutchman’s iron will has seen
him over the line on countless occasions and he’ll be hoping
to improve on his best previous Masters showing – a semi-final
spot in 2004.
